Optimal experimental design for selecting and calibrating dynamic models


Optimal experimental design for selecting and calibrating dynamic models. Calibration of 1D-settler models is very hard these days, due to the fact that it is very difficult and time-consuming to obtain experimental data. Therefore optimal experimental design will be used to find out what kind of experimental conditions are needed to get data with a maximum information content in order to calibrate the models as precise as possible. Besides real measurements, complex 3D-models will also be used to obtain data as if they were coming from a real settler system.
